Fail fast, hard and often!

Failing is part of the mentoring process. As a guitar teacher when my students where struggling doing their scales and had so much buzzing notes, they often where discouraged and wanted to give it all up.

I’ve showed them it is possible and re assured them that their body and mind would adjust and that failing was part of growing. They had to fail hard and often!

Those who did not give up made it and are playing now as they envisioned.

When I was teaching guitar I could tell the students who did not practice their scales as their fingers would not have acquired the habits and the horn. I just knew they did not practice.

Discipline and consistency are simply required to improve at anything.
